Tasting Notes
Similar to the 2008 McLaren Vale Houdini. this wine is deep red with a magenta rim. Dark fruit jumps from the glass with creamy mocha notes, warm spice, grilled meats and underlying vanillan oak. On the palate there is sweet dark fruit, bitter chocolate and subtle mocha/vanillan. savoury notes kick in the mid palate and roll along with subtle fruit, all held together with tight acid to give a long fine finish. the glass opened up after 10-15 minutes, so a quick decant upon opening will get things started.
